Waste Management of Illinois is facing a lawsuit after a man was seriously injured at the Milam Landfill in Granite City, IL. Greg Lutes, the injured man, was operating his truck in the landfill when he stopped to secure a loose swing tailgate on the vehicle.

Lutes claims that when he stopped to secure the tailgate, an employee of Waste Management in another vehicle collided with the tailgate, pinning his arm between the two trucks. He claims to have suffered serious injuries as a result of the ordeal.

Criminal charges are pending in the case of a hit-and-run accident in which a man caused an accident and then fled the scene.

The accident in question involves the 29-year-old driver of a pickup truck who turned in front of another car. The other car hit the truck. The driver of that car, who was 19, was seen at a nearby hospital. The driver of the truck left the scene of the accident.

Tricia Dold, 37, underwent surgery at Toledo Hospital to fix a degenerated disk in her neck on January 16, 2007.
